A man from Kimbimbi, Mwea, Kirinyaga County, reportedly made a shocking discovery after an unexpected change of travel plans brought him back home shortly after he had planned to leave for Dubai.
According to the account, the man was preparing to travel to Dubai on a two-year work contract. His wife accompanied him from Kirinyaga to Nairobi as he prepared for his flight. However, the journey was interrupted after he realised he had forgotten an important passport document.
The flight did not proceed as planned, and the man decided to spend the night at the airport while waiting to resolve the issue. He then allowed his wife to return home, believing he would soon continue with his journey.
Unaware that her husband’s trip had been delayed, the wife allegedly contacted her former boyfriend, who lived near their home. She reportedly told him that her husband had left for Dubai for a two-year contract and that they could now be together.
However, the husband had cancelled the trip and returned home to collect the missing passport document. Upon arriving, he was reportedly shocked by what he found.
In his emotional confrontation, the man allegedly shouted:
“Yaani mama Shiku, ata sijaenda siku moja na ushaleta mwanaume wako wa kitambo kwa nyumba yangu?”
He was also quoted saying:
“Oo, so mimi niende nikafanyie wanaume wengine kazi?”
The man reportedly said that before travelling, he had sought help from Dr Magongo with the hope of protecting his marriage, and that forgetting the passport happened by coincidence and led to his unexpected return.
The situation had not reached a physical relationship before he arrived. The incident, however, reportedly left the husband deeply hurt, and he has since decided against travelling to Dubai, choosing instead to remain and focus on caring for his family.
