“Nilimkuta Mke Wangu Akiwa Na Mtu Aliyenipa Kazi… Nilipoteza Kazi, Lakini Sikupoteza Tumaini”

August 2, 2026

My name is Daniel.

For many years, I believed I had built a good life.

I worked hard.

I respected people.

I believed that honesty and loyalty were the foundation of everything.

I had a wife whom I loved, and together we were building our future.

Life was not always easy, but I was proud of the small progress we were making.

Then one day, everything changed.

I discovered something that broke my heart.

The person involved was someone I never expected.

He was a wealthy man who had given me employment and someone I had respected because he had helped me earn a living.

The shock was too much.

I felt betrayed from two sides — by someone I trusted at home and by someone I trusted professionally.

I could not continue working there.

Every day reminded me of what had happened.

I decided to leave the job, even though it meant losing my source of income.

The days that followed were among the hardest of my life.

I felt like I had lost my relationship, my confidence, and my direction.

Friends advised me to calm down and think carefully.

I knew I did not want to make decisions out of anger.

I wanted answers.

I wanted healing.

A friend who saw my struggles advised me to seek guidance from Dr. Magongo as part of a traditional consultation and personal reflection process.

I went and shared my story.

I explained the pain of losing my relationship and the disappointment of being betrayed by someone I had trusted.

Dr. Magongo listened carefully.

He encouraged me to focus on healing, making wise choices, and finding peace within myself.

A symbolic ceremony was prepared representing the hope of restoring what had been lost and releasing emotional pain.

The ceremony used symbolic items.

A white cloth represented peace and a new beginning.

A red thread represented reconnecting broken relationships and seeking resolution.

A candle represented guidance during a difficult season.

A calabash of water represented renewal and emotional cleansing.

During that period, I reflected deeply on my life.

I realized that I needed to protect my dignity and allow truth to reveal itself.

Some time later, unexpected news reached me.

The wealthy man who had been involved in the situation contacted me.

His attitude had changed.

He wanted to talk.

He apologized for the pain caused and admitted that his actions had affected my life deeply.

He asked for forgiveness and wanted to make peace.

During our conversation, he offered to compensate me with Ksh 2 million as a sign of apology and acknowledgement of the damage caused.

I listened carefully.

The money could not erase what had happened.

But the apology showed that sometimes people eventually have to face the consequences of their choices.

For me, the greatest victory was not the money.

It was finding my peace again.

I learned that betrayal can break a person, but it does not have to destroy their future.

I rebuilt my life slowly.

I focused on work again.

I focused on becoming stronger.

Today, when I remember that difficult chapter, I do not only remember the pain.

I remember the lesson.

Trust is valuable.

Respect matters.

And when life brings unexpected storms, a person must choose wisdom over anger.
