“My name is Joseph, and I live in Thika. For years, I had worried about the security of my home.
Like many homeowners, I worked hard to protect everything I had built. I invested in improving my compound, adding security measures, and making sure my family felt safe.
But after several incidents of theft in the area, I became even more concerned.
Neighbours would talk about homes being broken into and people losing valuable items. The fear of waking up one morning and finding things missing became a constant worry.
I decided to seek guidance from Dr Magongo through a traditional consultation. I explained my concerns and told him that I wanted peace of mind and protection for my home.
I was advised about symbolic protection practices that represented keeping away negative intentions and creating a sense of safety around my home.
After following the guidance, I continued living my normal life.
Then came one night that I will never forget.
It was late, and everyone in the house was asleep. Unknown to us, someone had entered the compound with the intention of stealing.
The person moved into the compound but became confused, unable to leave as planned.
Hours passed.
The night became longer, and the person remained inside the compound.
Early in the morning, when I woke up, I noticed something unusual.
I went outside to check around the compound and was shocked to find a stranger still there.
I immediately realized something was wrong.
“How did this person get inside my compound?” I wondered.
The situation was reported, and the person was questioned about what had happened.
Looking back, I believe the experience reminded me of the importance of protecting my home, staying alert, and taking security seriously.
For me, the traditional practices I followed gave me confidence and peace of mind, but I also learned that real protection requires practical steps like strong security measures, awareness, and cooperation with neighbours.
Today, I continue focusing on keeping my family safe and protecting what I have worked hard to build.
My experience taught me that when people feel vulnerable, they often look for ways to regain confidence and hope.
The most important thing is to combine belief, wisdom, and practical action in protecting your life and property.”
